Fuel issue? Fuel pressure check? Should be around 35-38. When it does start up how long does it run before it quits? Clogged/gumped up and or malfuntioning fuel pump could be fine cold and over heatWill it stay running with carb cleaner shot in the intake? Even with an improperly operating tps it should till crank up and run. Coil and ignitor test yet?

i swear the governments out for these trucks or something. all is well, then "oh no problem" a little issue pops up. then "well, that was easy!" then BAM! all hell breaks loose!

my biggest problem is that my mechanical is great, all sound, in fact, it OUT LASTED THE ELECTRICAL! everybody says electrical is easy, no, no no no. not when every wire, connector, sender, and guage is 20 years old.

i know im not helping you directly, but just know that you have my sympathy, i feel your pain. good luck with that bottom end man. dont go cheap on it

naw i know what u mean dlxman i hate wiring im gunna baby my motor till i can either find and build up a good block and save my fresh heads or go for a swap but what scares me most about swaps are the wiring i work at the only junk yard/ pick and pull in my town so i am open to diffrent motors like we crushed a 1uz lexus v8 sounds like an easy bolt up with the right kit but wiring would drive me nuts and then ontop of that who has the money to spend on the wiring kit thats jus plug and play so im might go with a easy motor maybe a chevy 4.3 carbd or a sbc350 but not for a while
