I was actually thinking about lining over the gas door cable..All my speaker/amp wires I re-routed through the door sill or whatever you want to call it...The big factory wire looms I need to find a solution for as they're too big to fit where I routed the speaker/amp wire through.

Just finished the first coat on the backseat portion.

Quick edit about the gas door cable..Solution...Take it out! I pulled the cable out, cut off the release mechanism that its attached to, put the release back on and shut it..Toyota was smart, you can use the key to open it if the cable breaks..So now I just use the key instead of pulling the knob in the cab..No big deal.

I was actually thinking more about snagging a tercel gas filler pop (mounts under the seat) for mine - reroute the cable under the seats - out of sight... The looms have me baffled too - I'm thinking about using some of the corugated plastic wire guard to encase them before rolling, then they're at least slightly protected, and can be extracted if needed.

Looking forward to your impressions after finishing... I've got my carpet all pulled, most of the deadner pulled up - and half prepped; and the road noise is starting to bug me already...

I wished I had a key for the gas door.

Looks like you're doing a good job.

Isn't it the ignition key? If not then I'm hosed because all I got were two ignition keys with the 4runner.

Chrisbnaz,
Hey are you planning on putting carpet or something back in the runner when you're done? I want to do this to mine as well but am a little concerned about road noise. I'm considering using some of that 1 inch thick rubber trailer matting in the cargo area to cut back on noise and such.

As of right now, I have no plans to put any sort of carpet back in it. It is an option at a later time if I'm not happy with just the herculiner.

I've made a lot of progress, just working on misc. odds and ends now and slowly starting to put the interior back together. I'll have pictures up hopefully tonight if I have time.

Looks nice. Is it thin enough that you will you be able to remove the fuel pump access cover if the pump dies? The access cover is an awesome little feature.

Alright..Tonights quick update..Put another 12 hours in today on this damn thing..Turning out to be a very time consuming project but I like the way it's coming along and it'll be worth it in the end..The following pictures are where I'm currently at, next weekend I will pull everything back out and do another coat. I needed to throw the interior back in so I can go to work in the morning! lol.

I didn't take as many pictures today, I was just trying to get as much done as I could and took a picture here and there when I got a chance.

I'm now off to take a shower with acetone.
