help!!! starter,battery???wtf

ok well my runner has a hard time starting up after its been sitting for like 8 hours. I find it especially hard when I first start it in the morning and after work. it barely tunrs over , but no warning lights come on or anything. One time it would start at all and I got a jump and it was fine , so I am thinking the battery is screwed up not holding a charge or something. Also if I drive somewhere for about 5 min or so, after it barely starts, I can turn it off and it fires right up. seems to be only if it sits for a while.

should I check the water in the battery or is it just time for a new one?

thanks
bryan

Battery has a dead cell. it will allow the truck to be started right after shut off, but not after sitting for a bit. has happened to me a few times as well.

make sure connections to the battery are tight. take your battery to the parts store, test it, then go from there. "CORROSION KILLS BATTERIES"

Clean the battery posts, check/add water to battery, check your cables.

Does this happen all the time or does it come and go?
When my battery went, it wouldn't start my truck even if I just turned it off.
