'88 4runner 22re
I replaced the fuel filter about 4 weeks ago. About 3 weeks ago I replaced the plugs and last Friday I replaced the wires. Ran real good afterwards. Got in it Sunday and started it up and it doesn't want to idle. Drove it down the road and it takes off and runs ok but not like before. It want pull in 5th gear anymore. Yeah it pulled hard for a 22re but not anymore. When I push on the gas it like nothing is happening. I checked all the wires and there fine. Any ideas?

no. the guy that use to own the runner replaced the wiring harness with one from a '85. half the crap on the thing didn't work. I have owned the runner for about 5 months and it has ran fine til now.

so I pulled the plugs and now they look burnt. the top of the piston is brown. could this be a fuel problem or a valve problem?
