Help? Name this part on Intake manifold
Hey guys,
I got a 92 Yota pickup, and all stories aside I need to replace this part. Problem is I'm not sure exactly the name or a part number and the only thing I see on it is "318"
Anyways... the pics
Any help is much appreciated guys!
Thanks

idle-up valve
for AC AND power steering
there's another version with one less hose connection that's only for only power steering equipped trucks, so make sure you get the right one

Okay....I'm going to be the smartypants, here.
Technically, it's not the idle up valve. The idle up valve is the solenoid on the valve cover. The actuator does nothing to kick the idle up when a/c power is applied. It merely regulates the amount of the flow created by the opening of either the solenoid or the PS control valve. The solenoid, however, will kick the "idle up" when it opens.

toyotasaurus, a great source for part #'s and diagrams is www.toyotapartszone.com
Best to search by vin then drill down. Check in the electrical section under ac stuff.

I've been looking for a site like that for so long it's stupid!
I hope Toyota doesn't try and shut 'em down like they did to the diagrams that used to be on http://toyodiy.com. Those were the best I ever seen.
The diagrams are no longer available on this site. For reasons that are beyond our comprehension, Toyota Motor Sales Inc. kept harrassing our ISP about them. It seems that they are really interested in quick profits from new car sales, so it is in their best interest that old cars fall apart asap.
That's a killer site too!
You rule!
