HELP: elocker issues
I just installed an elocker in my 86 pickup with 12voltguys harness and switch last week.
The switch and wiring is fine and the actuator worked great...however when I was trying to get the indicator switch working tonight the actuator stopped working.
I'd flip the switch, and nothing would happen. I put a multimeter on the wires at the diff and it was receiving the 12v it needed.
So I used a spare battery and wired directly to the actuator to check the actuator motor and it worked...I re tried the switch and it was suddenly working! I did it several times over the next few minutes and it worked fine. Couple hours later i tried it again and it was dead again!!!!!
What could be wrong!?!?!?
Any IDEAS?????

I will look into the grounding.....I'm pretty sure that its good...I wonder if getting the gear lined up properly would play a part...?
I just flipped the switch to lock and then manually locked the diff and bolted them together that way...now I'm reading that the gear needs to be lined up a certain way....
You mean clean the inside of it but not the motor itself right?(The copper part lol)
I'm gonna pull it apart tomorrow...

I think I found the problem...I discovered through reading a bazillion web pages that the installation procedure of the actuator is switch it to "locked" then using a battery back the gear up a tiny bit so that the notches on the actuator gear are vertical then install into the locked diff.
my LED indicator works now as well...funny because sliding it as far into the locked position manually was not activating the switch...
