HELP CE light on after oil pan gasket change
Hey guys
I have a 1993 Pickup with a 22RE.
Its been running great despite a pair of oil leaks. One from a block off plate in front of the throttle body and a leaking oil pan gasket.
I manned up and pulled the differential and crossmember to get the oil pan out. Removed the oil pickup pipe to get the pan out. Cleaned all surfaces and replaced the oil pickup gasket with new gasket material. Used Toyota FIPG to seal up the pan.
I also pulled the intake to reach that block off plate. Scraped away that old blue gasket material to the best of my ability and made a gasket for that. Cranked the bolts down and reinstalled the intake.
I put synthetic oil in after letting the pan sit for a couple of hours and didn't start it until the morning after (today).
It fought me on the start up but eventually caught. The check engine light came on and stayed on but the truck drove fine to get me to work.
So...what the hell?

Coolant temp sensor is right next to the cold start time switch, make sure you didn't accidentally hook them up flip flopped.. The CS time switch would short it while on so that would kinda make sense.
Off hand I think I remember CS time switch is on the left (brown connector) and coolant temp is on the right (green connector) while looking into the engine bay
