got to move the little lever from the blue side over to the red side....

whats your antifreeze good for?

otherwise its I think there is a common problem with the linkage on the blue/red lever failing.

Stick your head under the dash and look for disconnected linkage. I had this problem. Take a look at post #10 here . to see how I rigged it.

is your engine getting up to normal temp or running cold? Could be the thermostat stuck open.

if the temp guage is showing it running cold, then the stat is probably stuck open. get a new one and install it, take a minute or two and check out www.4crawler.com . there are some good articles in there on heating issues.

Thermostat stuck open. The engine will eventually warm up even if the t-stat is stuck open.

No Heat

It won't be the fan clutch, mine is seized and I get great heat, way below freezing plus driving 70 mph. Won't be the t-stat either, after 45 min's of driving it'll be warm. If it isn't the heater control linkage, its probably a plugged heater core.

How did you get to that? Did you have to take the whole dash apart or just the blovebox?

my heater was blowing cold air and i found out it was caused by anti freeze being low.

i topped mine off and bingo.

No, I didn't take anything apart. It's right behind the ashtray, just stick your head down there and look up.

...true, but it wont get too warm. im actually running around without a thermostat and it only gets to about 1/8 to 1/4 of the way up the temp gauge, which may look somewhat "normal". the thermostat on the 3.0 is on the bottom end of the engine, the lower radiator hose is connected tot he housing. 3 10mm nuts and pull it out and take a look.
