headlight short on my new rig??
Just picked up an 86 4runner sas'd 22re dual transfer....
runs great drove it an hour home no problems. Spent some time working on it tonight welding the stinger bumper, rear bumper and sliders back on (they were removed before I bought it to take out the body lift. when i started it up to head home everything seamed good. I turn the headlights on and it stumbles and dies I left the lights on and tried to restart and noticed smoke out the vents. starts right up if lights are off . I drove it a lot today so i dont think its the alt but I havnt checked it yet. Any ideas or similar problems??

head light switch was pulling a huge draw.dropping voltage from 14.1 to 11.98 WOW
pulled the fuses under the hood and problem continue so I did some searching around under dash and found a wire 7" long with a spade terminal shoved in the fuse box and laying under the rubber floor mat against bare metal floor. Yanked it out and turn the headlight switch on PROBLEM SOLVED!!
I hate hacks!
