Headlight Ground?

Anybody know off hand where are headlights are grounded on 2nd gen 4runners? Thanks...

Yep, they are grounded by the headlight/combo switch to the cab ground:

Hey thanks 4Crawler but do you know where the "cab ground" is? The exact point where I can find the ground for the headlamps/switch?

On my '85, it is behind the driver's side kick panel, sort of under the carpet as I recall. Look for a big screw into the sheet metal with a bunch of brown insulated ground wires running to it and that is the ground point. And if you suspect a problem there, don't just look at the wires and call it good. Actually remove the screw, use a wire brush to clean up the ring terminals and then even hit the sheet metal under the screw with some sand paper to get down to bare metal.

But also check the contacts in the headlight/combo switch, that is where problems usually occur first:
