Headlight conversion complete

when I got my 4.88's out of the 94 runner I also took the headlights, corner lamps, grill, and front bumper. I hate sealed beams So i figured I would see if they fit. After removing the sealed beam and bucket I test fit the 94 headlamp not a direct fit but an easy mod. I love the newer front end look.

is it just my imagination or does the 'yota logo on the grill look freakishly similar to the batman?
'cause you can't see the loop at the top or bottom of the oval....

I think the exact same thing everytime I drive by the salvage yard, did you just have to trim a little for the housing to fit? What did you pay in total for all those parts?

I actually got them for free. Well i bought the 488's for $200. and when I got there I told him I was taking front and rear bumpers and grill. He said ok
There was some trimming of the core support(minor) and some trimming of the grill two of the mounting taps dont line up so I broke out the hacksaw.

Looks good. I'm more partial to the looks of the '91, personally. The oval "T" just looks funny, IMO.

I would love to do that, but i love having clear headlights to much. and i don't know how the internal reflectors compare to the 92+ Aero headlights with 100W bulbs.

Love the new look.

Good job! But I have to say, im not a real fan of the output of those lights.

When I drive my girlfriends 95, her lights are pretty bad. That is, compaired to my hella e-codes...

But good job on the changeover, my parts guy did the same thing with his 4runner.

I was going to do it too!

I was planning on doing the same conversion to my 90 pickup. But I have too many projects! The shame is I found a really nice set of JDM headlights, grill, and clear corner markers with the bulbs and pigtails. So if anyone is interested I have them up in the misc. classifieds section right now.
