Headers and wrapping??
I have put a set of pacesetter headers in my 4runner and was wondering about wrapping them to avoid some of the heat issues and have a couple of questions.
1/ Do you have any rust issues with wrapping the headers?
2/ Does the high temp silicone header spray really help keep the water/dampness out of the wrap? Do you have to re-apply it every year?
3/ I have been to a couple of places and they can't inport the spray here in Canada because it is combustible. Where can I get the spray in Canada? Someone must sell it here.
Thanks guys..
This board is awesome!!

I use the header tape on my exhuast on my harley and it does make a big differance in the amount of heat you feel on them. Plus it helps burn the gases alot better (not that you really notice unless you keep track) and i have only done the spray once and I did just like mt goat said and painted it but only after it was wraped on my pipes. So for what its worth i have not found any rust problems and once a year i pull them off to repaint them but have had not problems with unwraping or shreading as of yet , and this will be the 3rd year i have it on but also remember that you want a flat heat resistent paint not a gloss , stove paint is what i use (bbq , woodstove , fireplace)
