probably the most COMMON

NOTE, if your head unit doesn't have a blue/white wire, it will only have a solid blue wire, and that wire will be the amp output and/or power antenna output

and it should just be, blue... not really light or dark... I suppose dark maybe, cause some wire color's will darken with age, but's that's something I'd get mixed up with a dark purple cause I'm half color blind

Zach, If your car has a factory amp. Remove it or bypass it. Factory amps are notorious for causing issues with aftermarket heads. Also, the built in amp on that Xplod is more powerful and of higher quality than anything toy would put in their cars (with the exception of their JBL systems which still suck).
After doing this there would be no need for connecting the blue wire(s) off of the head unit.
All other connections would be made in accordance to bleeders diagram.

STOCK SYSTEMS SUCK...
Did you know that a brand new car with a brand new system is technically three years old? so the system in a 94 is really the technology of 91, and low end at that!!! Most speakers still use paper cones. I replace everything stock when i buy a vehicle ( except the magnum, since dodge was soooo smart and hooked it through the entire ecu... Dumb)
Easiest Install = Dodge ram
Hardest Install = Dodge magnum, second = 99 chevy impala

the circut board it probably the amp. as i am not there to see it, that is the only reason i can see where a circut would be attached to the speaker. also i would like to note that your sony is set to run at 4ohms. the ohm loads of the JBL may be higher or lower and some manufacturers have one side at 2 and the other at 8. I would highly recommend replacing the speakers. the change in ohm load could cause your deck to work harder causing additional heat that it is not suited to handle.

haha thanks, I think lol.
nah I was an installer for quite a while. my specialty was sub enclosures and sound quality. I could take a ragtop and make you feel like your at the concert while driving 80 down the freeway lol. all it takes is $$$. the area i live in does not use to much of the high end stuff so like most installers i was making just enough to eat. one of my buddies went to Miami and makes three times what i was.

they just say how much money they would like to put down on a system, we'd go shopping, and I'd show them what their budget could get them, and for a little $$ per component, I'd do the install

just as a hobby, nothing serious, but got a lot of electrical and wiring experience from it
