dam brand new head job to. someone goofed up,going back to the machanic next week,hopefully he wont charge me!!!!!

 

Black smoke is fine. Just means it has a rich fuel mixture. It's blue smoke you don't want, you shouldn't have oil mixed with the combustion. Since it goes away after driving, I say it's the valve seals for sure.

 

need to take a close look at the bottom side of the head. I took .038 off a 22re head and the walls got kinda thin. may have a small crack in it from taking so much off.

 

we will see, wont we going in the shop thur , and if he tryes to charge me 4 something he messed up ur the the head shop meased up ,,, we will go to court!!!!! befor i brought my tako in it diddnt leak oil , or smoke ! now 3 + grts a week ..and my gas millage was 250 plus a tank now it is 150 a tank im not playing,or getting riped off...i got 1 ? if u shave the head 20 tho of an in, should the ail/fuel mixture should be adjusted ??????I think so!!!
the smoke lookes white so im thinking gas .. some time blue im thinking valve seal or valve guide...
ps,,,,,,,im still going to buy a rebould kit to do this summer!!!!http://www.engnbldr.com/ToyotaHotLicks.htm/master engine kit, what do u all think!!!hopefuly it gets warm soon so i can do it....
