Has anyone done the 22RE-to-V6 conversion?

I know it sounds weird. But I have decided to do it. My truck has a strong 22RE with good trans but the frame is too rusty. I found a donor truck, which is a V6 truck but no motor/trans. I'm going to do the swap pretty soon but need some more info on that. I know that the motor mount location is different. Is it too difficult to relocate them? The most of the conversion has been done by the PO (fuel line, pump, rear end, etc.). Is there anything else I need to be aware of? Thanks for all the input guys.

find a 5spd tranny and matching transfer case for the v6 from a v6 and swap in the 3.4 into the v6 truck. Its an awsome swap and i've got the 3.4 in 92 and love it!

Yes, the topic is kinda confusing.

I tried the search engine but not that I could find anything about the motor mount relocation.

I know but I already have a solid 22RE motor w/ the tranny. I just needed a solid truck, which happened to be a motorless V6 truck for cheap. I also don't have a lot of $$ to spend at this time either.

You will have to fab up the motor mounts, teh crossmember, are both truckst the same type of transmission?

Thats a given, plus all the other hidden problems you encounter.

Motor mounts on the v6 truck frame are about 1" farther back than the 4cyl ones so you may need to cut them off and relocate them.

Thanks. I knew that I would need a good welder for this job since I am not.
