you should stop by one day and offer to take him out to a mild trail and show him what his old girl is capable of! who knows, you might have a new member to refer.

The guy I got it from said he didn't know how to use the 4wheel drive and never really had a reason to so they never did. So, I got a babied 89 Runner with 170K miles on it for next to nothing - and now look at it!

FINALLY - The long awaited Pics!

Aight - Finally got my ˟˟˟˟˟ together..............Drum roll please:

Where I cut the pannel:

Drivers side "storage"

Passenger side "storage"

I pull the rubber plug's out when I spray out the back so the water drains

Where I cut the carpet - I just tuck the ends uder the seat

I have this sweet ass old skool steel Colmen cooler that I strap to the roll bars then tuck my folding chairs under when I head out to the trials, works awesome!

And, yes - the chair on the passenger side is a double:

I'm hoping to have time, before I leave on a 2 week vacation, to get at least the rear area all sanded out so I can lay down some rinoliner. But I plan to rinoline-or some equilivant-the enter interior so I can just hose it out when I get back from the trials.

Hope this is what you were looking for Brian......... Let me know if there is any specific shots you were looking for.

That's phenomenal, I really appreciate the pics. As I have speakers, I won't be cutting my panels at all, but the carpet pics help a lot and I didn't know there were drain plugs where the pics show them, so that's good to know as well. Many thanks.

Brian

It's obvious from the pics what can be done with the ones a'top, but was that the manufacturer intention for putting them there? And what can be done with the bottom ones....like in this pic.

I have no idea what there are for. But mine have threads in them, so I was going to try to incorporate them into some kind of basket to hold my cooler. Currenty I use bungie chords to hold it in place, but don't do such a great job. I want to make some kind of bar to hold it in place against the back seats that I can take in and out when I need to. The cooler has a locking lid, so I don't worry about it flying open.

Those are for attaching shoulder belts for the rear seat see this thread for more info. I've recently added shoulder belts to mine. The upper plug is for the attachment point (pulley? bar?), the lower is for the reeling mechanism. You will need shorter belts than a conventional shoulder belt because the reel mechanism is mounted about two feet higher than most (see where your front shoulder belt reel mounts )
