Well finally got the 89 yota pickup going....it only took a motor, new radiator, new clutch, new belts, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, gas tank, sending unit, pickup, fuel pump, tires, and air box..lol. BUT, still have issues. I noticed the oil light flickering even though the oil is full and also, I had good pressure when bleeding the brakes, but as soon as I started the truck, the pedal goes to the floor and I have no brakes. Any ideas? I also notice that when I push the brake pedal down, the motor starts to sputter as it pulls vacuum for the booster. Any information would be helpful, anyone ever have the motor sputter from the booster?

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak in either the hose to the booster or the booster itself.
