Yes, i believe i have actually found a way to put the AC button to good use. I have AC but it needs to be charged and i need a new tensioner pulley and even if i had those i wouldnt use it because i love top off and no doors. but anyways, i have to belt one my compressor so as far as i know all pushing the button does is raise my idle. in my rebuild we got rid of and blocked off a lot of stuff one of them being my IACV so my cold starts are pretty crappy, but the other day i realised that i could back out the white AC idle screw a good ways and just hit the buttin when i start my car on a cold mornign and now i have a good cold idle! also yesterday i went wheeling and i realized that if i push the button it raises my idle to basically perfect for 4lo in 1st gear to creep along instead of trying to hold the pedal down a tad. i still used the gas to go over things but it was so much smoother. i dont know who all could use this but i thought it was a pretty nifty idea to put my otherwise useless AC button to good use.

 

There are many uses for it. For example, my Pickup didn't come with A/C, so I'll be using it to kick on a York OBA compressor setup after my motor swap.

 

I like to use mine to turn on the A/C
