Good shop for engine rebuild near Denver
I have a '91 22RE that has just started leaking oil. I think the main seal is going, but I am about ready for a new clutch, anyway. The poor 22RE is tired, needs quite a bit of work...
I am thinking about rebuilding the whole engine, but it is my daily driver and I do not have time to do it myself.
Would anyone know of any GOOD, REPUTABLE shops in the south Denver, Littleton, Parker area to do a rebuild? Or install another engine and take my core?

I had a 2.3 head rebuilt by Heads By Paul in Englewood and they did a pretty good job. Supposedly they do good machine work. Past that, I dunno, and I couldn't tell you who does good work as far as replacing engines, clutches, because I do that stuff myself.

I don't know if any of you guys have tried them but I have had good luck with Jasper rebuilt engines and transmissions. Their customer service is excellent, at least with me but I am a business sometimes places like that don't deal as good with individuals. Anyway, when we have used their products the engine/tranny has shipped to us then I pull the old unit and swap over any parts or whatever then drain and send the core back. I have had to warranty one out of maybe 20 of their transmissions and I just called, gave them the number off the paperwork and the guy shipped a replacement right out that day with no hassle.

Asha, I usually do everything myself as well, in fact, in 15 years my truck has never been in the shop. But it is my daily driver, and I drive 80 miles a day to and from work. I can't afford to have it down for as long as it would take to do everything myself.
The clutch I can do in an afternoon. Rebuilding an engine or replacing it will take a bit longer...
I will probably get all the bits together and then see about having someone either rebuild what I have now, or I will build one up myself and have them install it and take my core. She still runs good, but it is getting to be time for some major work.
