A Rough Country lift is the same lift as a Superlift is with different coatings on the parts. As far as bracket type lifts go, this is just about the best out there. Be warned though, I have one on my truck and in my opinion it weakens the front end a lot. If you are mostly street, or light trails and mud you'll be fine with it but if you do hard trails and rocks it won't last.

And last time I checked they were $599 direct from Rough Country. It might be better to get it from them.

Don't get rear blocks. Please....

 

The first time you do it it's pretty tough. But I could do another one in a day I think. There's a link to my build up thread in my sig that has a bunch of pics to my install. Check it out and you'll see some of what I did and went through...


And don't worry about the blocks in the rear. For a street/mild trail driven truck they're fine. You'll geta little more axle wrap but it's no big deal. They're like body lifts in the reputation they have. A lot of guys hate them but have no idea why...

 

I know why I hate lift blocks...

Stay away from them, they ARE NOT OK. They shift, slip out, and in general will cause your old springs to fail very quickly. If you're into mud, it'll get bad quickly. Hammering down on the throttle with lift blocks leverages the stock springs into an S and cause all sorts of wheel-hop which then leads to other parts of the drivetrain being compromised. If it's PURELY a street queen and NEVER sees dirt you might be alright.

I don't know if you're looking for the cosmetic effect of the 4in lift, but there are far more quality options if you could handle say 2-2.5in. I'll put my BJ Spacer/OME lift up against "Bracket junk" any day.

 

well the blocks dont consern me to much i have 2in blocks in the rear to level it and i have been hard on them and they aint goin any were. i might just go with a mild BL for s**ts and gigles
