stock 4.10's with 33x12.50's with the 2.4L, around 18-19 mpg. Usually fill up around the 250 mile mark on the tank.

I have a v6 auto with 4.88 gears and 31x1050 muds, I get about 180-210 miles per-tank, usually closer to 180, but I spend a lot of time in the woods in 4wd.

It depends greatly on the type of tires you have also.

The auto trans trucks where undergeared from the factory, stock it uses 4.88's for 31" tires, I would go with 5.29 gears for them, 5.71 for 33" + You have a big od gear, you will be able to cruise all day long, and have great off the line power.

With 31-10.50" AT's, and 4.30 gears, I get 18-19MPG mixed driving. I get 270-300 miles a tank.

gas sucks no matter the truck, 5.29 is gonna be worse, just be happy your not in a K-5 w/ a 350 and 36" tires, thats like 8-10mpg
it wont be horrible considering the smaller engine, but gas prices are such a PITA that unless you buy somethin w/ like 35mpg you'll still feel it
just go w/ the 33's
youll get like 16-20 so we'll play it safe and say 18 ;-)

Last 2 tanks in my 90 with 4.56 gears and 31x10.50 BFG AT's, I got 251 and 259 before refilling (it was right on the edge of the empty line). That was a 50/50 mix of city/highway back & forth to work and a little 4x4-ing in the snow during 2nd Elk season.
