Hey guys I have a 95 4runner and i am in need of new tires...I have 31'' right now...but i want some meat on my wheels SO i wanna go with some 33's or 32's

Anybody have any suggestions?
I dont really wanna spend alot of money..no more than 600 all together

If any come to mind where can i get them ?

i dont think you can get 33s on a 95 runner w/o a lift 32s might fit but i think they rub ???

 

if you get a narrower tire you won't have the problems. get a 10.50 or 11.50 width tire. 33x10.50 should fit, if not a 1" body lift or BJ spacers and shackles will do the trick, but i think they'd fit pretty easily.

 

okay kool sounds good. i plan on getting new springs 1 1/2 lift in back to even it all out..

check around on ebay and the newspaper and other classifieds first. I scored a set of 5 brand new 31x10.50 BFG ATs for 250 bucks. YEAH BUDDDYYY!!!!!!

 

What type do you want? AT or MT's?

 

I know BFgoodrich makes 33x10.50 in both A/T and M/T. Search for some other threads, i've been involved in a few about this and other sizes of tires. there's tons of info.

 

Interco makes a variety of tires that are narrow, but large, and they are usually priced lower than other manufacturers. Look at their website for something that fits your needs.

The best tire I've ever ridden on is the Bridgestone Dueler AT...

I've always thought a tire was a tire until i got my first set and I've been hooked ever since. I am currently running a set in the 32x11.50 flavor.

I sqeezed them on my truck when it was at stock height by cranking the torsion bars up almost all the way, and have since put on a 3" Bl and they look great.

They did rub a little before the BL but not bad. I did have to remove the mud flaps until I did the BL...

 

So would you go with a M/T BFgoodrich 33-10.5?
i have 31-10.5 right now...i think my front torsion bar is cranked up a little...not sure what other owner did to it...but i plan to get new back springs to even it all out ...

Would i get them from like the 4 wheel part store or would firestone sell them?

33x10.50 fit on my truck with NO lift and NO trimming (I did level out the rear with some new springs). I run the Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT, though - they are a touch smaller than the BFG's.



Shop around, just about anywhere can get either of the BFG's (NOBODY will have them in stock)

 

I'm currently running Hercules Durango MT's 33"x12.5" on stock 7" rims...Sorry for the bad lighting in the pic.....

Now I thought I would have rubbing, but last sunday I was out with another local group and I had NO issues... ((I ran the truck really hard) see thread Local wheeling ))

Now granted the type of wheeling we were doing didn't require flex (not that IFS has much) but they will fit.... The only thing I have done to my truck is add a 1.5" spacer in the rear to level it, and removed a really bent valance.... Hope this helps...

 

i just got 32x11.50s BFGs ATs. they are great. i have coil springs in the back and im going to get BJ spacers for the front and Coil Spring spacers for the back. lift it about 1.5 inches more. they rub only when dipping in and out of a driveway. other than that i have not had a problem with them in the 1 day i have had them :smile: they look great with my new rims too......

I would say a 32x11.50 BFG AT or MT. I have been debating between the two for a couple months now along with a 33x10.50, but the 32x11.50 make more sense. I'm a mostly DD truck along with traveling out of town at least once a month. So, for me an AT will work better for right now. I may purchase a different set later when I become a more daring and better offroader.

I think a 32x11.50 BFG AT would do ya some good.

 

I would shy a away from the BFG AT. I prefer the BFG MT. The AT become slicks in the mud. I have seen this happen to all 5 of my uncles who swear by these tires. And yet I went a little further than them in 2WD!!! They blamed it on their trucks.... But thats just me. I would prefer any MT over an AT any day. That way you dont have to worry about anything.

 

huh..... that is weird that a MUD terrain goes farther than an all terrain in the MUD.....huh

 

Take a look at the new Hankook dynapro mt rt03. They are some sweet looking tires and from what I hear from Korea they work really well. They WILL be the next set of OWL 33x12.50's for my truck.

Uh, I forgot that they don't really come in standard 15" wheel sizes but if you're like me and have 16" wheels the 305/70-16 is a 33x12.50
