which type of lovker are you going to use. If you use something like the lockrite(lunchbox) type locker you can do it now, with your setup you have now then work around that. How do you like the 3.0 everybody says they are weak?

You're going to want to do the gears and lockers at the same time so as not to have to tear the assemblies down more than once.

If you do the Tires first, your performance will suffer til you take care of the gears/lockers.

If you do the gears/lockers first it'll run like a drag car and may have issues running on the highway until you get taller tires.

might be a good idea to just save up and do it all at once

Gears/lockers at the same time.

Tires whenever the ones you have wear out.

You can do the lockers yourself if you are handy (lunchbox type). The gears are more involved but it you aren't going to do the lockers yourself then pay the labor only once and do the lockers/gears together.

Tires are a good investment if you are planning to do easier trails. I did mine in stages - tires, modest lift. Then I added lockers which led to a taller lift to allow for more articulation. We did some moderate rock crawling last week with a couple of difficult areas and it was awesome. Next will come larger tires and regearing and who knows where it will stop. Maybe an exo cage?

the goal is to come up with something like "tc " has done a well built all purpose 4runner i use it for a DD but trails WILL happen and untill i get another this will have to be dual purpose but i want to leave the susp alone yota made it work pretty well and im in ohio so not a big rock crawlin area sooooo that being said seems gears and locker first and then tires im thinking going just over the stock ratio so probly looking at 5.29 at least 4.88

with the auto people reccomend 5.29s for 33s but deff do gears/lockers at the same time. but i would do gears/lockers first then go for bigger tires later down the road.
