gear problem?

whats up guys, i have a 1986 yota 4x4..4 wheel drive has always worked great....yesterday i tried to put it into 4 low, and when i let off the clutch you can hear gears grinding Either in the trans or t-case...It will work perfect in 4 hi, and 2wd..5 speed trans shifts out ok and doesnt gring at all..just 4 low, it's almost like the clutch isn't disengaging when i try to put it in 4 low.. any help is greatly appreciated..it does the same if locked in at the hubs or not locked in, it is a 4 cyl 22r. again thanks for any words or advice. i don't feel like it's anything major, when the truck was last parked 4 low was working ok. it sat a few months and now this problem shows up

Check fluid level for trans and t-case. Sure sounds like t-case issue. Trying to find details on hi-low shift.

Kinda sounds like its not fully engaging into 4lo. I would check shifter seat as well.
