gauge cluster compatible?

gauge cluster compatible?
does anyone know if a gauge cluster out of an 80's pickup or 4runner sr5 would wrk in a 87 4runner that just has a speedo, gas, and temp guage cluster. Cuase im looking for a gauge cluster that has the tachometer in it. i just dont know if under the dash board if there is the wire plug ins for the gauge cluster with a tach?
