gas spraying out of the upper intake manifold

MY 22re is driving me crazy. I just fixed an intake manifold coolant leak and now it wont stop spraying gas out the top of the intake manifold. I replaced the bajo bolt twice, put in new washers, and still nothing. The leak is between both sides of the line that runs from the fuel rail to the upper intake manifold. I really am getting tired of this car not wanting to run. Any ideas?

I don't have a 22RE but the leak must be coming from somewhere along the pressurized part of the fuel delivery system (a cracked hose/pipe, loose fitting, damaged fuel pressure regulator, or injector.) With the engine off jump the FP and B+ terminals in the check connector and then turn the key on. You should be able to see where the leak is pretty quickly.

Red face

Any fuel injection place or place that works on fuel injected engines.

You need a soft copper crush washer

Some of the old school auto parts stores used to have a drawer with a assortment .

Since they come with fuel filters it seems no one carries these.

Me being quite fumble fingered I drop these all the time so need to keep them or changing a fuel filter would be a several week project.

I've never found them anywhere but the dealer, but they're cheaper than dirt. (about $1, $1.50) I wouldn't waste time trying to use a copper washer made for brake lines, because BOTH the inside and outside diameter make a difference.

I've gone back and forth between whether they're made of aluminum, or tinned copper. But they DON'T look like they're copper.

There are different sizes; pick out the ones you want: http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...rimLevel=18292

(and as Wyoming9 suggests, get two extra of each size. You'll use them soon enough.)

You need the correct copper washer as it actually crushes to make a leak proof seal. I tried some replacements that were not copper and it was just a head ache.
