My 95 3.0 4Runner automatic, runs fine.
Starts easy, idles smooth, 750 rpm when warm.
Good runnability for a 3.0.
13.0 mpg on the last tank of gas.
50% local driving, 50% freeway.
I am not a leadfoot either.
Is there any way to improve that?
Or is that the nature of the beast?

13 mpg sounds low to me. Check out some of these:

That should be a good start for you.

Could be a lot of things, maybe you should check for error codes. Search around for how to do that if you dont already know.

Use quotation marks when searching... like this: "error codes" so the search engine will look for both of those words together. without the quote marks, it will just look for each word independently.
