Not really that bad at all. If the guy was smart he probably put a catch pin in the top shackle so that he could lock it in place.

I have heard people say that they are afraid of the shackles unloading in a climb. I can tell you that it is not the case. They give you great flex for a lot less cost and headache than coil setups.

The flat bed is awesome....

This guy is an artist. Very nice! One day I would love to be welding and fabbing like this myself. Anyone have any tips where I can begin educating myself....aside from hanging out at the local welder's? I mean, are there good books to read, etc.?

This raises a question..
I was told by a fellow that has been welding most of his life that welding onto the frame was a bad idea. Obviously, if it were not supposed to be done folks wouldn't be doing it. But, why we he have said this?

99% sure it was TinBender over on Pirate. Guy does AMAZING working bending tubes for beds and cages. I've had those photos saved for a few years now, waiting to do something very similar to that, maybe altering it a tad.

thats pretty sweet. i would have hinged the top or covered the lights, so they dont get damaged removing the extra tire. and probably added some down bars from the hoop. but i like.
