Full time headlights on 1993 4runner

I am looking for a kit that will allow my 1993 4-runner headlights to come on and off with the ignition switch. Back in the day, there was a place called Whitneys, and they sold all sorts of aftermarket items. I remember seeing a relay kit of some sort to do this. I guess I should have bought it when I saw it. I have had the 4-runner since I bought it out of a lease in 1996. It only has 150k miles and runs great. Can anyone help?

Great White North? If so, you don't want to the lights on with the ignition switch, as you're loading the battery just when you need it the most. Instead, you want them to come on once the the truck is running and the alternator is producing power.

How? https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832645943088.html (you can't beat the price.)

[CarParts.com picked up the JC Whitney name: https://www.carparts.com/jc-whitney]

Thank you

Thank you for the very prompt reply.
I know about carparts.com taking over JC Whitney, but it's not the same as back in the day when they had a printed catalog. You could get anything from them, A decal of a gun rack with a few rifles for your pickup truck, an imitation cell phone, and all sorts of things. Unfortunately, that is no longer available through the car parts website.
You are sure right about the price for the "LED DRL Control Module Auto Car Daytime Running Lights Controller Relay Harness Dimmer On/Off 12-18V Fog Light DRL Controller", as they call it. Do you know if that will run LED headlights as well as plane old filament lights?
I think I'll give it a try, Thanks for the tip.

You do realize you can now buy a real (refurb) cell phone for less than the imitation ones cost?

The listing for the controller says it's limited to 3amps, which is not enough to drive filament headlamps directly. Generally, you would wire the controller to drive your headlight relay. But you know the power draw of your LED headlights, so if you have some need to bypass your relay just work it out.

Question; does the below part replace the headlamp relay and provide for DRLs?

That's a really good question. I sent carparts.com the question and will post their answer.

Carparts.com said: "Jeonino answered: "Hi Richard, I'm glad to assist you. No. It is incompatible if you do not have daytime running lights. There is a difference in the wiring circuitry overall. You can look up the OEM part number on the relay itself if there are numbers listed, or you have to call your local dealership and provide the VIN of your vehicle. So they could give you the data you need."

I figured as much, and I'm pretty sure my 1995 4Runner was never equipped with DRLs. I thought maybe the wiring was there for it, and it just needed the relay. I had a Chevrolet years ago that was wired for DRLs, but they were never actually functional, the same vehicle was sold in Canada, and the DRLs did work on those cars. I thought maybe my USA 4Runner might be the same.

Thanks for getting the response from Carparts!

I think I will try that controller fromhttps://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832645943088.html. It makes sense to wire it ti a relay anyway. That's a great suggestion, thanks! The price is so low that I'll get two just in case one fails down the road. I have a 2003 Dodge Van That I want to convert to, so I may use it there.
