Fuel sending unit sensor

Need to know if an RN60 and a RN63 vin have the same fuel gauge sending unit. I have a 1986 pickup 4x4 22r with a RN63 vin that needs a new sending unit sensor. All I have found that look like the one I pulled out is the RN60 sensors. So was wondering if they were interchangeable/compatible with each other?

thanks for the help.

Do they both have the same size fuel tank ?

The only way to know is try .

Over the years the resistance has changed .

I have yet to get a sending unit from a Yard that ever worked
