Fuel Pump Life

Hey all,
I am orig. owner of a 1993 toy 4x4 SR5 ext cab 3vz-E with 230,000. Was wondering if anyone has experice with the life expectancy of the fuel pump on these, was wondering if I should just replace it. I travel to baja fishing every summer and dont want it leaving me stranded.

id be more worried about a busted radiator hose or an alternator that craps out.

Pump life expectancy prolly has more to do with how many times the fuel filter has been changed during that 230K miles. Mine lasted 145,000 miles. Fuel filter was fullo crap. Previous owner(s) prolly never changed it.

Fuel filter or just the sock that attaches to the pump in the tank?
