fuel pump electrical connector
SO I was replacing brake lines on my 1989 Pickup and I managed to break the wire leading into the fuel pump. I have posted a pick. The easy solution obviously is to "hard wire" it and eliminate the connector. I would like to avoid that if I can. (Not sure why but if I have to replace the pump at some point (it is the second one I have had over the 29 year life of the truck so it could go bad again at some point. In any case does anybody know a part No or a source for a replacement? Or has anybody opened one of these? I Have managed to fix some of the connectors over the years but removing the contacts and soldering the wires or even replacing the wires. (I can be an evil genius at times. I picture of the item is attached if I figured out how to do it.

You don't have to be an evil genius to repair the connector; that's what they do at the dealership. The metal contacts are standard throughout your vehicle and others of this vintage. Your connector "body" looks to be in fine shape. Just remove the one contact and replace it with one crimped (not soldered) to the existing wire.
