Fuel not getting to the injectors...

Hey all, pretty stumped on this one. I have a 1989 LN106 diesel 4-door Hilux and recently replaced the fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pickup tube assembly and fuel filter inside the tank (all new). Because I introduced air into the fuel lines upon disconnecting the tank, I bled my lines going into each injector as usual when air is introduced into the system. But for the life of me I can't get it started again. It'll turn over, but fuel is not getting to the injectors for some reason. While each injector is cracked open while turning the engine over, each injector still remains dry. The fuel filter located on the firewall (which was also replaced a few months ago) was never drained during the tank removal proceedure and is completely topped off with diesel. Any ideas? Air in the injection pump somehow that won't bleed out? Vehicle ran fine before replacing the tank.

Thanks in advance and any ideas are greatly appreciated...
