Front suspension

Hi
i have a 1987 22re itasca RV and the rubber bumpers that sit above the front suspension frame component only have approximately 1/2 inch clearance at best. I in attempt to increase that just replace the front shocks with heavy duty gas filled and replaced the sway bar bushings and nothing has changed with that clearance. Is this normal or can someone please tell me what I should do
thank you

The parts you changed have nothing to do with ride height. These trucks use torsion bar suspension and the only way to gain clearance is to adjust the torsion bar bolts from under the truck. With it being a motorhome, I'm sure it has a little beefier torsion bars than the regular pickup ones.
Look on YouTube for some videos about how to do it. You will need an alignment after you adjust it any.
