I have a 94 pickuo with a 22re. It's been sitting 17 years. I've replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump and bracket, plugs ,wires, fuel lines and belts. The problem I'm having is that it will crank and turn over and act like it wants to run but immediately shuts off after running for about 2 seconds. I've verified fuel getting to the engine by cracking open the cold start line and watching fuel spray out. I've verified spark by pulling plugs and watching spark. What is the next step here to troubleshoot this? It will run off carb cleaner if I spray directly into intake which I did just for troubleshooting information. Should I pull injectors? Check for vacuum? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas.
"runs for a few seconds and quits" is the classic sign of a VAF-COR problem. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-quits-312747/ It's the easiest thing on your whole truck to diagnose. Jumper FP to B+ on the diagnostic connector. If it runs now, you've identified the problem. The cited page has more information.

Now are you talking about the circuit relay above the ecm? I have already jumpered that because the fuel pump was not getting power. The fuel pump is coming on and sending fuel. I know this because I disconnected the main fuel line and watched it as it pumped out fuel. Is there something else that I should be checking?
Of course the pump is sending fuel; the engine runs for 2 seconds. What you care about is what happens when the engine dies?
The "Circuit Opening Relay" is above the ECM; there are photos in the link. When you say you "jumpered that," I can't tell what you mean. Does the pump run all the time? Just with key-on? Just with key to STArt? Why wasn't the fuel pump getting power before?
Before you go much farther, you'll need to pick up some crush washers for where you disconnected the main fuel line. They are one-time-use. (Not sure? Well, feel free to experiment. If I'm wrong then your truck probably won't turn into an inferno.) If you want to watch fuel flow, replace the fuel return line from the FPR with a clear vinyl 6mm line to a suitable container. (You can do that because it's a low-pressure line.) There is no spec, but I get about 1/2 liter/min with engine off and the pump running with the jumper. You'll get a little less when the engine is running. You should be able to tell if the fuel flow drops then the engine stops, or if the engine stops and that cuts off the fuel flow.
Remember, the COR has 2 halves. One half runs the fuel pump while starting, then the other half takes over during the "run" phase. If you jumpered the "start" half, but the "run" half is also bad, or is the bad portion to begin with, the engine won't run long. Like about 2 seconds, give or take...
