Fuel gauge

weird. Because my gas gauge was always kinda weird and I remember now that it did go down after the key was off. But now I filled up yesterday and it wont go down but does move.....idk what it is.

blue steel, i'd prefer mine to be that way too, so you always know how much fuel you have.
my 85 does something simalar to that in the winter (well, about 25° and colder)
whatever the gauge is it, when i shut the truck off, it'll drop a few centimeters but not go all the way, then when i turn the key on it'll climb back up a few centimeters

yeah 85gijunk! IMO if before the 90's gauges are like what you guys say they are.... and knowing that '95.5 to '02ish have the WORST gauges EVER! (almost never accurate, always bouncing around...) I'd say the 2nd gen 4runners and whatever gen pickup that is in between those years must have the best gauges.... but thats my opinion.
but im sorta perplexed that drmix's truck (93 pickup sr5, according to sig) isn't like mine. only thing i can think of is his is a pick up, mine is a 4runner but i dont know why they would be much different between the two. mine stays where the fuel level is ALWAYS. both off and on. love it.

Mine stays where it is at as well, but mine's a pickup with a 4runner's SR5 cluster swap. I cannot remember what my OEM cluster did, but I wanna say it stayed put as well. But I was having issues with the sender wiring to say for sure.

if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for your sr5 cluster?
