Fsu 88 Toyota 4runner turbo edition

Hello, I think this form is long overdue .I recently purchased a Toyota 4Runner turbo edition with the digital – but the gas gauge does not work because the previous owner replaced the tank and fuel sending unit. I know a lot of you out There are still looking for one of those fuel sending units too. So I'm thinking at this point that we should try and figure out a way to retrofit a different fuel sending unit or see if a compatible part can be used to put in existing or new fuel sending units. From the research that I've done, the real difference is that the normal fuel sending unit is a resisting to ground. While the fuel sending unit for the turbo edition is voltage modulation. Which other cars should have done in the past? Especially with a digital platform any brainstorming on this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks y'all!
