Front side gear shaft play and noise

Front side gear shaft play and noise
On my 1994 4Runner, 3vze I hear a clicking sound when I am driving. It's louder when I hit road bumps. The sound started about a month ago.
I looked under, by the front drive shaft and the side gear shaft off the differential and found some movement on what the six bolts are on. It is not the bolts. The bolts are tight.
When I move/wiggle the drive shaft I hear the click sound. There is play at the side gear shaft end where it connects to the drive shaft.
Do I have to replace the drive shaft or the side gear shaft? or both?
Can I just add lithium grease to the drive shaft boot?
Can I just add oil to the differential case?
The differential case looks dried and has some rust patches.
What is the price range for the shafts?
What is the resolution? DIY, dealer or local shop?
Thanks for any help ...
