front and rear lockers?
Ive read about them, tried to google them but no other place to turn than to you guys for a explanation and understanding of what and how it is used.
So basically what are lockers, I've read on a few trails that they reccomend rear lockers.
I have an 87 pick up Manual hubs

without a locker, your left and right wheels can spin freely of each other. Power will then go to the wheel with the least amount of traction. A locker "locks" the left and right side together giving both wheels traction.

You've probably found this spot on YT already... but runs are often posted there of varying difficulties. You could see vehicles with and without lockers in action.
It's a patient group that usually lists what vehicles need to enjoy a set run.

if you plan on getting one id suggest selectable like everyone else, if you can afford it.
i put a lockright in the rear, and like matt said, unbelievable off road!
on road isn't bad either, maybe see if you can drive someones rig that has one first!

If I did a lot commuting though traffic and in the city, I'd see if I could afford a selectable, or if you can't maybe I'd get a gear driven limited slip, like a Trutrac. BUT if you have a normal commute, then its not so bad.
