Front end shaking at most speeds.

Noticed my front end shaking lately and it was time to rotate tires so I did that. In doing so I thought I'd wiggle the front tires up and down and see if my wheel bearings(?) were loose or someting. To my surprise it took very little effort to wiggle the tires left and right and watch the front suspension components move very freely. Now I'm not a front end guy at all so i dont really know what is bad and whats not. Any help here would be great. How do I know whats bad and not? Should I just take it to a front end shop or is tis something I can handle. If I have the proper instructions I can do most things car-wise. Thoughts guys? thanks! forgot to add, 95 2wd runner

Without being there to look that stuff myself, the best advice I can give is to work on everything that's loose. The front suspension components are pretty tighly tied together, otherwise, you'd get some font end shaking.

You can use the process of elimination. Do what's obvious first. remove the wheel then shackes. If moving, then remove the hub then shakes.....

can you perhaps make a video of what you are looking at...post it on youtube and give us the link.

Other than that I would also use process of elimination. Take a look at all your bushings my guess is that they are totally gone and you have loose metal on metal contact if you are not over exaggerating the problem.

If we could be more specific, we would. Parts to inspect:

Ball Joints
Tie Rod Ends
Steering Idler Arm
Pitman Arm
Control Arm Bushings
Wheel Bearings
