Front Drive Shaft

Front Drive Shaft
I recently s.a.s my 1990 4-runner. The front axle is from an 85. A buddy of mine has the trail gear ten inch slip shaft and the flange on the t/c doesn't match. It's a 4 inch trail gear i.f.s eliminator kit. Any suggestions on how to obtain a front drive shaft would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for starting your own thread about your truck.
Since mine is still IFS, I can't help you directly with the front driveshaft (a.k.a. propeller shaft) but I'm sure someone will respond soon with some information to help you.

You can buy a triple drilled flange or obtain a flange withthe correct bolt pattern.
I have run across this problem before and drilled a new bolt pattern in the stock flange.

Howzit'!
We bought the same 10" long travel shaft from TG too.
But we bolted the 10" shaft to the pinion flange (axle side) instead.
You may have to reuse your stock front driveshaft, cut out the short slip-shaft (cut it to length) then weld the new TG 10" shaft to it.
Hope this helps..
Aloha! Mike
