The breaker bar/starter method worked too well. The balancer slid off by hand. The whole process took about 45 minutes to replace the crank seal. I never have this luck. ...something bad is going to happen tomorrow

okay restarting this thread i am doing my timing bump and water pump and notices some leaking on the cover thats behind everything so i started to pull it off and in came about a half inch and it wont come any more does anyone know how to get it off

Not sure what your talking about .

If your trying to remove the timing cover there is a bolt coming down through the head most often in a puddle of oil
