Front Caliper Brakes

So Im probably excited over something stupid, but I did my brakes today and they have 4 piston calipers. Its a 95 4Runner SR5 and I thought that was cool, are all 4Runners 4 pot? My RX7 buddies tell me to convert my single piston calipers to 4 cause its a 'HUGE' upgrade.

Nope. All 4wd Toyota trucks since '79 have had 4-piston calipers up front. Over the years, the size of the pistons has increased but there has always been four of them.

is you r buddys turbo a 2 Wheel drive??

also

No, its not possible to swap a one piston for a 4 piston.

it IS possible to swap calipers from a 2wheel drive 4Runner to a 4Wheel drive 4runner....since they are the same caliper.

ya their turbo is 4wd theP/O had said a bunch of stuff about using a lot of land crusier parts on the 4runner IDK the guy did do a ton of work to the truck and it seems like he did it right as for the brakes I have no clue why they are single piston.

RX7 will beat the Supra?? ARE YOU HIGH?

I bet the Supra kills the RX7 in resale value. w00t! Just TRY and find a 95 Supra for a decent price. And compare that to the price of an RX7.

Never mind the engine upgrades available.

An rx7 and its wonderful rotary engine is the downfall and curse to them. Never did I see one that didnt need to be rebuilt or burn oil.

Not 4 pistons to 1 piston. I meant from 1 piston to 4 pistons...
