Front brake rotors -- recommendations?

After nearly 190k miles, the trusty '87 4Runner's front rotors are 0.8 - 1.0mm under the wear limit (19.0mm), so it's time for some new rotors and pads.

Any brands/part# out there that folks have had good luck with and would care to recommend? There seem to be a lot of options available.

Hello Blueman, I would do toyota OEM equipment if you can, here is the part numbers

front brake pads toyota part # 04465 YZZ C0

front disc rotors toyota part # 4351235190

online prices are about $61.00 per rotor
and like about $45.00 for a set of front brake pads

when i did the brakes on my 88 4runer i used t100 v6 rotor's from a 95, the calipers are larger, the rotor's are thicker, but the same diameter must use the pad's for the same vehicle,i also choose to upgrade to the master cylinder from the same make and model / year

the thicker rotor will help heat dissapaite. while the larger master cylinder & calipers will aid in breaking effort

Sorry to hijack, but I just got ripped, twice, on a front brake job and am quite upset. It is possible that I may need to buy all new components again, after only 2 months of use.

Do you happen to remember the part number for the T100 components you used? And sorry to ask a "dumb" question, but they will also work in a pickup (not just 4Runners), correct?

Yes, massive highjacking.
Start a new thread, you need to tell us what's wrong.

I need to tell you what's wrong to ask for part numbers of T100 brakes? Seems a bit overkill to me...

Hi guys,
Would like to ask for your opinion.
Many online stores list different part numbers for front brake pads that are supposed to fit the 1986 4Runner, like the one below (lists "04465YZZA8").

Should we stick with with "04465YZZC0"?
Is there a difference or are they physically same?
