Forever warming up...
Proably a re-post but my search skills are a bit lacking right now. It takes forever for my truck to warm up enough to be drivable. If I try to pull out before it wants to it will stall(normally in the middle of an intersection) and give me some real issues re-starting. No problem with the initial turn of the key, fires right up and will idle, not the smoothest but will catch itself and smooth out quickly. Just time consuming to be able to go. I do have a engine light but the only code I get is an o2 sensor code. Thanks in advance

Thermostat most likely. Either missing, stuck open, or too cold a rating. Pull it out and put in a known good one in there. How to know the new one is good? Drop into a pot of hot water the stove with a thermometer in it to see what temp. it starts to open and and if it fully opens and then closes as it cools off. See if the temps jive with the temp. number stamped on the t-stat.

Not being the fastest at jumping into fixing things and havign a new stat/gasket in the glovebox for a week to change in, finally decided it was time to do it today. Old stat was MIA, that would cause some warm up issues. Guess I shoulda checked that when I did the head gaskets... I feel dumb. Thanks for the kick in the right direction. And yes it warmed up correctly and ran at half on the gauge with good heat.

Another note I've been noticing is now that the truck has been warming up correctly is that it has working overdrive! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A THERMOSTAT!!! DON'T ASUME!!! Now to work on the quickly thinning/gas fouled oil issue...

another thing to check for is air leaks between the air flow sensor and the intake. im not familiar with the 3.0 but my 22re was having the start up issues too. i found out that my intake duct had a crack in it and was causing it to run lean on a hot start but it would start cold because of the cold start injector richening the mix
