I thought I might have read it somewhere in this forum but I cant seem to find it. Has anyone out there ever fooled an 02 sensor with a resistor or something similar.
I have successfully done the trick with the EGR valve sensor so I think that it must be doable to the 02's as well.
Just wondering if it can be done thanks ahead for your input.

 

If you run a 2 wire sensor instead of the 4 you can put a resistor on the heater lines and this will get your light out. Other then that you can't because the sensor generates a voltage. You can rig up a pot and give it 0-1volt range.

 

Yes, if you're talking about a rear O2 sensor.

i dont mean to hijack but i wonder if this can be done to the knock sensor as well to get my truck out of limp mode

I may try the "build your own" technique as I keep having a code pop up for the rear O2 sensor. I think it's due to my high flow cat or possibly using the wrong sensor (from a '90).

Either way... would be nice to see the light go away.
