First wheeling experiance with MUD!

i've been out on trails before and we havent had any rain in MONTHS so i decided to take the ole yota through my buddies pond. Water wasnt deep but the mud was VERY thick. I was going through fine untill my buddies 4 wheeler got stuck. i went to go to pull him out and got myself stuck. About 30 minutes later i finally got out. Tires are 31x10.50 Kuhmo road venture A/T. Honestly, i wish i would have spent the extra money for a beefier tire for mud, but oh well.

sorry for camera phone pics!

After a while you find the bottom of the mud and learn backing up and going forward and 4 low is still your friend.

Part of the fun to getting muddy IS getting stuck! I spent 8 hours in the Francis Marion National forest (actually in a hole in the forest), but the experience will last a lifetime.....Time with friends (a few drinks) laughs, etc... What fun would it be to never get stuck, get out of the truck and hang with friends and not laugh at each other! Looks like you had a good time.

no offense, but a/t tires blow goat ass in mud.
get on any incline on some slick stuff, and down the hill you go!

All terrains suck anyways, I run BFG M/T's.. Those TSL's, and TRXS M/T's are about the only tires I like... Unless I got a set of boggers for cheap..

Agreed... I ran a set of 32x11.50 Bridgestone Dueler AT's for years and at the first sign of mud they would instantly turn into slicks and there I would sit. My saying used to be that an ant could spit on the ground and I'd get stuck in it.

Theses days with a rear locker and a set of Iroks, I can stay at a place like that for days.

blows? goat? ass?

anyway, I'm glad to see this, I was considering a set of a/t's for my rig, lot of road miles, not much on the trail side and noone to go muddin' with. but I am definately gonna rethink it. btw, recommendations for decent m/t's without breaking the bank...

I love playing in the mud, but I HATE cleaning all the crap out from under my truck. I've only been mudding twice in the past 3 years, after spending 5 hours under it with a water hose the last time.
