finding rear main leak

hello men,
for the last month or so i have been on this forum and so many people complain about oil leaking at the 3.0 bell housing a lot of people say rear main and others say oil cooler, valve covers, etc. my question is it you have an automatic (what i have) couldn't you be able to tell by pulling the access plate. if it was rear main wouldn't the flex plate be covered with oil??? the reason i ask is i am in the process of replacing every gasket I can with out pulling the engine. I have already replaced cam seals, valve covers, and in the middle of oil pan and oil cooler. I am just curious if that would be a easy way to narrow it down to rear main??

make sure its not the oil pan, after that theres nothing else on the back of the motor to leak oil if you are sure its not the valve covers . . . unless a there is something on that engine a supra 7M doesn't have. If it is the rear main you can replace that without pulling the motor, its just a pain in the butt.
