Thumbs up Serious Mods

Those are some serious body modifications. Can you give some kind of play by play? What happened to the rear of your bed? Did you put a roller on the front? This looks really nice all together. I'm interested in the steps that you took and how you achieved this alteration, especially on those bedsides and under your tailgate- Good Job! the wheels look good, too

This is about the 5th time I've done this to a Toyota. What I do is take a piece of blue masking tape and mark out where I want to cut. I cut it all with a 4 1/2 grinder and a cut off wheel. In the front there are basically a couple of big "flaps" that I just hit with the grinder as well.
Here is more of a head on shot for ya

Doesn't look like a 4x4. Kind of looks like a prerunner. Do you jump it?

Looks like a prerunner to me too. I like the "military" look the truck gives off.

Thats a really cool, unique truck. Its always cool to see stuff like that. We're all so used to seeing the usual 10 foot tall SAS'ed rigs (which are cool too). But to see something so different is pretty cool. Keep on truckin' man

Thanks for the kind words. I go to a lot of desert races and I really dont need 4wd. The truck has tig welded chromoly upper arms with 1 inch uniballs, and sway away torsions. I'm sure it could take a jump, but I'm not quite confident enough to jump my daily driver.

i hav learned my lesson not to jump trucks. had a little to much fun with a 2wd ranger. hit a dowhill paved rad wherethe speed limitdrops to 20mph to go down it. hit it at 75. landed on flat. lol front buper riped off blew all shocks. and never ran right. 9two weeks later tranny went out. huh?lol. thats what i get for buying a ford i guess. lol

I have friends that jump there Toyota's 8-10 feet high. The problem with catching air with these trucks is the motor mounts, they just aren't strong enough to take the force. Jumping without a cage is not worth it to me either.

I had an 83 pickup and we were wheeling in some snow, i came bombing down a hill and hit a bump i couldent see and flew into a snow bank. I noticed my truck vibrated really bad and we took a look and i had snapped a motor mount.
