Fender Flares

I want to put fender flares on my '95 4runner but it has factory running boards. Does anyone know if I can put flares on it. I am talking about the bushwacker type or any other that have a similar appearance.
This is the look I want and this "Surf" has running boards.

PS This is a nice rig too! some lucky guy out there has this and a nice 3.0 L diesel powering it too!

Yes it can be done.
But there are a lot of mods you need to do to the molding for the running boards.

That is why I yanked mine off when I installed my flares.

A few members have done it.

Has anybody seen these flares on a domestic runner? I'd like to see how they look, or is it going to be a problem to put them on?

So, whos the lucky person that got those? Anybody here? I was bidding on them, but lost. Got too expensive for my poor college self. Whoever won those is a lucky person.

$200 seems a little bit excessive for those, even though they were cool.

I know the guy that sells those flares. How much do you want to spend on them?

In my opinion $200 for the surf flares isn’t bad when compared to the bushwacker flares. The bushwacker flares sell for approx. $300 for the four flares. The surf flares sold for $200 with the four flares, properly fitting mud flaps, and the additional piece for the bumper. If the surf flares can be had for less than $200, then that is one heck of a deal.

Yeah, I agree with that. $200 seems good for that whole set (10 piece, I think). They were used though, and required painting, but still not bad at all.

Dieselyota--I bet they would sell pretty good here in our classifieds.
I know I would probably get some if it isn't too much $$.

You're probably right. I think I just underestimated the popularity of those when I first saw them on ebay and expected a price of less than $100 :pat:
